Organic Sustainable Baby Booties

So these are even more sustainable than ever! I made these toddler-sized booties from a pair of suit pants that were less than flattering since they had a tiny waist line and were heavy on the pleats. But, that is perfect, because the material was just beautiful and very durable.

Since I had so much luck on my houndstooth baby booties last year, I am at them again!!

Please check out these baby booties on Etsy...while they last!!

p.s. They are lined in 100% Organic Cotton this time around :)

(The other pair of baby booties, I sent to a photographer Trudy Holtz to hopefully have her model them on a cute little toddler!!

Supple Leather Baby Sandals

So, I have had a few views on these new baby sandals. I love how they turned out. They were inspired by my very own new Mephisto sandals, shich are also very nice.

I love these little sandals!! I hope someone loves them enough to want to try them out... They are 100% suede/leather. It is nice and soft/supple too! These are size 0-6 months, and I can try making them bigger too. They have elastic around the openings too, and are breathable since the backs are open! These would be fun for a formal event, or for every day use. Check them out HERE.

A Green way to Create and Sew

I found this photo here on treehugger.com.
This amazing cork fabric is very cool. I saw that MiaJoie on etsy is now making Cork Baby Shoes, a wonderful way to be eco-friendly too. Now, this cork fabric is pretty thin compared to other cork available at the hardware store like this HERE. The stuff at Lowes is maybe 1/8" thick, and is about $10 per roll. It is a good sized roll too. But the designated Cork Fabric/ FabriCork is nearly $130 per linear yard!! Wow, that is quite an investment, but maybe worth it. I love how people are thinking Green these days! Especially crafters!

Sweet Socks - NEW from Happy Solez!

See them HERE!!! As you can tell, I had lots of fun taking pictures of these cool new creations. I found a pair of booties on a shopping excursion one day, and used them to create my own pattern. This is such a fun way to update pre-existing items to suit your own needs too. I also used an upcycled shirt, that had an awesome pattern on it. And gave it a new use, and hopefully a new home! I am gearing up for Strange Folk Daily, here. So wish me LUCK!!!!!
